On a trip to the local drugstore, my eyes were drawn to these two beautiful liquid eyeshadows.

Yes, any kind of cream or liquid eyeshadow acts as a magnet for me and I end relieving myself from some of my hard earned money.

In this case, the formula that I got to try is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Paint. It has a creamy consistency and has a metallic sheen. It is important to know that it dries quite quickly so there is not much time to play with it before it sets. Once it does, it will endure many hours with little to no fading.

I have worn the bronze shade to work and after an eight hour shift I still looked put together and not, as has been the case with other products, like I was wearing the previous night’s make up.

As you can see, the product comes in a container not very dissimilar to that of a gloss. However, the wand has a difference and it is that the sponge applicator at the tip is not your typical doe foot shape but it is round as the rest of the wand.

This shape definitely helps when you apply your product to your lids.

I bought two shades, a purple and a bronze one.

Manganese Purple is an intense aubergine with a blueish reflection that gives it its purple aspect. If you blend it out, as you can see above, you are left with more of a patchy rusty aubergine. Despite how pretty it is when it is thickly layered, it is a fussy shade to work with and I am not sure it is worth it.

Rich Russet is a beautiful bronze shade. In fact, I just swatched it on my hand next to On and on Bronze Color Tattoo and they are almost exact dupes, the color tattoo being perhaps a tiny bit warmer. (Note to self: should have done that when taking pics). As you can see above, Rich Russet is more forgiving when it is blended out. In fact, as it sets so quickly, I have been relying on this product on days when my eyes are very watery: lay a thick layer on the lid and tap the edges with a finger. Ta dah! Fool proof, non-agravating and long lasting eye look done.

Would I recommend these products? Not really. The colour range is pretty limited (5 or 6 shades) and the formula has some issues, so you might want to check other brands for similar products with a bigger shade range and better formula.
